Club president Cathy Jahelka and her GSD’s Harley and Caleb are leaving next week to drive all the way to Orlando, Florida to compete in the 3rd Annual AKC Obedience Classic!! This event is held in conjunction with the Eukanuba Conformation show and the Agility Invitational. Dogs and handler teams will come from all over the United States to compete.
In order to even qualify to go, both Harley and Caleb had to earn 6 qualifying scores in their class level during the qualification period. Caleb earned his qualifications in Novice, and Harley in Utility competition. Although both dogs are qualified, Cathy will concentrate on competing Harley in the championships, but Caleb will get to compete in the pre-trials there as well. This will allow both dogs to experience the venue and the pressures of National competition.
